"Introduction to protein structure visualization and comparison
using Swiss-PdbViewer

<div>This one-day workshop will be held in Lausanne on the 7th of
November 2013.<br>
You will learn how to visualize and compare protein structures
with Swiss-PdbViewer. This practical course will cover the
following topics:<br>
<ul>
<li>look at a structure, both globally (as a fold) or in
detail (e.g. an active site)</li>
<li> compare several structures to identify differences</li>
<li>identify residues participating in protein-protein
interactions</li>
<li>understand the limits of energy minimization</li>
<li>make a crude model to visualize the result of genetic
mutations onto a protein structure</li>
</ul>
Participants should bring a wifi enabled laptop with a working
installation of SwissPdbViewer (<a moz-do-not-send="true"
class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://spdbv.vital-it.ch/">http://spdbv.vital-it.ch/</a>)<br>
