Dear all,

We would like to draw your attention to the course "Probability
Theory and Network Inference", which will be held in the Biozentrum,
in Basel on 8-11 November 2011.
Recent developments on the foundations of probability have lead to a
theory that unites methods from statistics, statistical inference,
information theory and Bayesian statistics into an integrated
framework. The purpose of this course is to familiarize
bioinformatics students with this general theory in the context of
concrete applications in Bioinformatics. The course will cover all
the basic theoretical methods and illustrate each of them with
examples from the day-to-day praxis in Bioinformatics.
